Where do you run the challenge?
The Challenge can be run in any city or town and is customized specifically for each group and location. Check out our locations page for details
of some of our challenge locations or contact us if you would like a challenge set up elsewhere.

Who is it suitable for?
The Challenge has been specifically designed to appeal to as wide a range of participants as possible regardless of age, ability or fitness. The Challenge is extremely suitable for large, mixed ability groups looking for an activity that everyone can join in with. We have had many pregnant participants joining in as well as wheelchair users.

Do I have to include physical activities into the game?
All additional physical challenges are optional and needn't be included into the game. As each location is different, the physical challenges available are always dependent on the location.

Does everybody in the group have to undertake the physical activities?
It is possible to set up the challenge so that only some of the group need undertake the physical elements if required. We will liaise with you during the planning stage in order to design the most appropriate game format for your group. There are always elements of the challenge to occupy all participants regardless of whether or not they wish to undertake any physical aspects of the game.

How does it work?
There is a brief overview of how the challenge works on the The Challenge page.

Is it difficult?
There are many different elements to the game each requiring different skills and abilities. Teamwork will therefore play an important role in successfully completing each challenge. Points are awarded for each challenge, with harder, more complex challenges usually worth more points.
There will always be a mix of easy and hard challenges to attempt in every Urban Adventure Challenge.

How fit do I have to be?
Every challenge is undertaken on foot and participants don't have to be particularly fit to join in. The challenge has been specifically designed to appeal to a very wide range of participants, regardless of age, ability or fitness. How far participants walk is entirely up to them and their team. It is always possible to send fitter team members off to undertake some of the challenges that may be located further away.

What do I need to wear?
We suggest that participants wear old comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for walking in. Sports clothing, casual clothes, jogging bottoms, trainers and a waterproof (if it's wet) are ideal.

What happens if it's wet?
The Challenge has the advantage of being an all weather activity and can still run if it's wet. Participants are advised to dress accordingly to the weather on the day and can bring a waterproof or umbrella to keep the rain off. As the challenge generally takes place around a town or city centre there is usually plenty of opportunities for teams to stop at a café, bar or pub for refreshments or a bit of tactical planning!
